 It’s not always the case as you will find yourself misplacing passes on occasion, but only when you move to manual will you have a good level of freedom. "Ultimate Team is more of a hardcore mode, and obviously 50 per cent of our users are more casual," explains Prior. "There's a potential we would have been doing a feature - and it's an expensive feature in terms of the effort - that would have taken away resources from making all the other content we've got in there, and potentially not being focused on half of the user base. In terms of bang for the buck, in terms of effort, it didn't make sense. And in terms of Ultimate Team itself, the philosophy doesn't gel with the World Cup itself. It's all about England - you can't have a team with Germans and Italians on. It doesn't gel with ultimately what our game is, which is international football and international pride."
