EA Sports' FIFA is one of the best-selling sports video game franchise in the world, and I think they've got another winner here with their latest release. It looks great and feels more authentic than ever before. There are plenty of modes available and fifa 15 Ultimate Team will keep you busy even when you're away from your Xbox. If you already have FIFA, you won't be disappointed getting the latest version. This results in a lot of attacking play coming through the middle, where the more realistic dribbling either works really well, or frustrates beyond belief. You can’t turn on a sixpence any more, and you’ll have to learn how to use the sprint button and trick stick to get by, or else rely on quick movement and passing. It’s an impressive re-enactment of the beautiful game, but it also reduces the fun factor. Those who hanker for a more realistic football experience will delight in this, but those of you who just want to lose yourself in a video game may find it less fun.

 

The camera and cut-scene action is also much improved, with player entrances and pre-kick off viewpoints looking more realistic and TV-like than ever before. And then there are the highlight packages, which are shown in a slightly different filtered effect to make them more like the end clips of an episode of Match of the Day. Including dedicated commentary over goals. One of the biggest graphical enhancements is with the "Living Pitch", which is EA Sports' attempt at making the actual turf respond visually to the action on it. It works a treat. Every scuff, sliding tackle, twist and turn leaves a lasting legacy on the pitch during a match. It makes no difference to the action itself, but as the game progresses, the on-screen effects bear a striking resemblance to the real thing. It helps immerse you in the game world even more.

 

Both steps were meant to thwart online thieves and reduce their influence over FIFA 15 Ultimate Team's virtual economy. Fair-playing users, however, responded with enough questions as to why the steps were taken that EA Sports today recapped what this was all about, and what's coming next. A minimum price, however, is necessary to battle the fraudulent exchange of coins. EA Sports forbids coin sales, and the only way to obtain them is through the game itself, but coin sellers have still found ways to pull off exchanges through distorted Transfer Market sales. FIFA 15 coins sellers often use players with listed values much lower than their maximum range to transfer coins. As a result, FIFA 15 contains a wealth of cute touches and intricate attention to detail. For example, the development has worked on replicating the emotion that real players show on the pitch - so they might be euphoric after scoring, then sink to their knees in despair when they realise they were offside (as in the real game, FIFA 15’s virtual refs will delay things like offside decisions).

 

FIFA 15 doesn't feel exactly like previous FIFA on the old systems. While it's not as smooth as FIFA 15 on the PS4/Xbox One editions, the PS3/360 versions include tweaked ball physics for deflections (including keeper reactions) and more unpredictable shots and outcomes. Unfortunately, tackles on the old systems feel just as animation dependent as they did last year. Thus, it's missing the finesse of the new versions, and the outcomes of your challenges feel more pre-determined. In general, the animations seem like they take longer, thus deadening the gameplay's responsiveness. FIFA 15 won't simulate anything to the level of a game like Football Manager but it also really doesn't try to. Tactics in FIFA will only get you so far and that's also fine because the game is meant to be fun. Think of it as a lesser version of the Need for Speed series of racing games when they are compared to the much more technical Gran Turismo and Forza series.
